Bleaching and cleaning of laundry using natural products

Cleaning and bleaching of laundry with natural products

As you already know, the most used chemical for bleaching clothes is chlorine. In addition to the fact that such products are very toxic to the environment, they thin the textile fibers, making them break more easily.

It is true that they whiten the laundry and remove stains, but the effect is short-lived. In addition, if we are not careful, chlorine can discolor colored clothes if it comes in contact with them.

If you use the following natural products: baking soda, lemon or hydrogen peroxide for cleaning and bleaching laundry, you will not face these disadvantages.

1. Bleaching curtains

Curtains in the kitchen tend to clog with smoke and grease. If you want to wash them, put them in hot water in which you added a tablespoon of baking soda and let them soak until the water cools. Then wash them normally and you will see that your task has been made easier. In the end they will look impeccable.

2. Bleaching of tablecloths

This method is very simple and similar to the previous one. Put the face or tablecloths in hot water and add hydrogen peroxide on the stained areas. They will be much easier to clean and the material will remain flawless and will be protected for longer.

3. Bleaching clothes

When you put the clothes in the washing machine, dilute a tablespoon of baking soda in a glass of water and pour the solution over them. Do not put simple baking soda directly on the material, as it can damage it, it is best to dissolve it in water. Then let the car do its job. You can also use lemon juice.

Removing unpleasant odors

Baking soda helps clean laundry

Surely you have been through this situation at some point. Sometimes you take your clothes out of the washing machine and notice that some blouses still smell slightly of sweat. Thus, you have to wash them again. How can you avoid this situation and use natural products for cleaning clothes? Very simple. Here are three useful methods:

  • Dissolve half a teaspoon of baking soda in half a glass of water. Mix well and apply the paste on critical areas, such as the underarms. Then you can put the clothes in the washing machine as usual.
  • White vinegar. Put half a glass of vinegar mixed with half a glass of water in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture on the problem areas and leave it on for 10 minutes, then wash the blouse normally.
  • Lemon juice. You probably already know this trick. Lemon juice is another natural ingredient that neutralizes the sweaty smell of clothes. Mix the juice of half a lemon with an equal amount of water. Then, with a cloth or sponge, apply the solution on the foul-smelling areas. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then put the clothes in the washing machine.
